Sabrina Day - Director of Project ManagementSabrina holds a B.S. in Biology from Mary Washington College and a Masters in Nutrition from Meredith College, in Raleigh, NC. It was during her academic pursuits that she gained an understanding, and love, of local food. Sabrina is motivated to help others learn about the importance of, and fun in, supporting the local food economy and its creators. After moving from Raleigh to Cambridge, MA in 2011 Sabrina set out to discover the area’s local flavor and, as an avid home cook, you can frequently find her shopping at area specialty food shops and farmers’ markets. In addition to cooking Sabrina loves to spending time with her husband and k-9 kids, exploring the outdoors and traveling.
Esther HoweEsther Howe is a recent graduate from Grinnell College with a B.A. in Gender Studies and a love for food and travel. She is a contributing writer and editorial intern at GLIMPSE Journal and a pastry assistant at a local cafe.

Henry LuehrmanHenry Luehrman graduated in 2012 from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Creative Writing modified with Film Studies. Though he has spent the majority of his past four years studying, rowing for the Lightweight Men’s Crew team, and singing in an a cappella group, he also devoted an entire off term to working for the Dartmouth Dining Services, where he learned how to cook and prepare homemade dishes, made to order. He now lives in Belmont, MA and works in a biology lab at Harvard. He hopes to go to graduate school for a degree in paleontology.
Nathan PotterNathan Potter graduated from Dartmouth College in 2011, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Anthropology of International Health. He developed his love of local foods and flavors concurrently with his passion for travel-- he has spent time volunteering in South America and across the Indian subcontinent, and has fallen madly in love with each and every cuisine he's encountered. Nathan loves to go for long runs, brew beer, and take photos in his all-too-limited spare time. He is in the process of applying to medical school, though he's not yet sure what kind of doctor he wants to be. Heather RobbHeather graduated from Simmons College with a BA in English Literature and spent 20 years in the Boston area working for public relations agencies promoting consumer and high technology clients. A foodie and gardener, Heather has been focused on making sure her two boys (at least try!) the best fresh food, whether just-picked purple string beans from her CSA, or raw milk from her favorite Martha's Vineyard dairy. Heather's interest in local food extends beyond just the produce or product at hand, to the people and stories behind the food. One of her favorite parts of working at LocalPickins is learning about all the devoted farmers and artisans out there committed to the craft of raising, growing, making the healthiest and tastiest food possible. Felicity Slater - Social Media CoordinatorFelicity Slater grew up in Cambridge, MA and got her B.A. at Grinnell College in Iowa, where she studied Philosophy and waitressed at a local foods restaurant. She is currently a Graduate Student in Philosophy at CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. Felicity loves exploring and writing about all the amazing food and drink that New York has to offer, taking long runs along the Brooklyn waterfront, and finding cozy spots to sit with friends. At Local Pickins, Felicity maintains the Facebook page and writes for the Blog. Lindsey Strong - Director of OperationsLindsey graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in Economics and spent 15 years in Boston with Putnam Investments managing short term assets. Her husband’s career then took them to London, and she and her family now reside on the Northshore of Boston. On most winter weekends, her family heads to the Vermont slopes but she also enjoys cross-country skiing, walking her dog, a good read and cooking. In the warmer weather, it’s hard to get her out of the garden, but she loves summer sports, being on the ocean and spending time with her husband and three boys. Traveling has always been a passion and living abroad for several years allowed her family to explore much of Europe and develop a love for various cultures and cuisines. From early on, Lindsey has been exposed to organic farming, and savors the search for simple, local food to enjoy with friends and family.
