This Friday marks an exciting day for us at Local Pickins! We're teaming up with local bakers for Boston Batters Up, for the Great American Bake Sale Challenge sponsored by Share Our Strength No Kid Hungry. In case you're not familiar, Share Our Strength is a national organization that works to end childhood hunger in America through funding community organizations and food programs. First and foremost, Share Our Strength focuses on connecting children with nutritious food in their neighborhoods and teaching them how to eat healthy on a budget. One of the ways that Share Our Strength gathers funds is through the Great American Bake Sale — a nationwide bake sale movement. Boston Batters Up is helping to end childhood hunger, as 15% of all proceeds will go straight to Share Our Strength!

So come on out to the Greenway this Friday between 11:00AM and 2:00PM, bring your family, enjoy some delicious treats from top-notch local bakers and join the movement to end childhood hunger! 

We'll be located near the carousel and the entrance of Faneuil Hall.
